Music Mondays: no song without you by HONNE

Music Mondays is a book meme where you share a song you really like. It is hosted by The Tattooed Book Geek.

Happy Monday!

The song I’m choosing for this week is no song without you by HONNE. HONNE is a British electronic-soul duo formed in 2014 in Bow, London, consisting of James Hatcher (Producer) and Andy Clutterbuck (Singer/Producer). “Honne (本音)” is a Japanese word that means “true feelings“, ones you only share with your closest companions. The duo happened upon the word and instantly fell in love with its meaning and felt that it fit with what they’re writing.

Please, please watch the video. It’s so cute.

When I’m down, and out
And feel like there is nothing left for me
You save me

LYRICS:

[Verse 1]
Ooooh, I’d be nothing without you
Ooooh, there’d be no song without you, without you
When I’m down, and out
And feel like there is nothing left for me
You save me

[Verse 2]
Ooooh, I felt nothing without you
Ooooh, there’d be no song without you, without you
When I got into a fight and you stood right up for me
You save me, you save me
When I worry about some stupid shit
You always reassure me
You save me, you save me

[Bridge]
Ooooh, I’d be nothing without you
Ooooh, there’d be no song without you, without you

[Outro]
There would be no song without you
There would be no song without you
There would be no song without you
Without you, without you, without you

I hope you liked this week’s song. See you next week!
