Unboxing: October 2018 Owlcrate

owlcrate october 2018 theme

Hello everyone!

Okay, I know it is already November and this is a month late but hey, better late than never, right? 😂

So, I ordered my first ever Owlcrate box. I was having second thoughts on subscribing because although I think it’s good, the shipping fee is expensive 😭. But when I saw the hint that it will contain not just one but TWO books, I gave in. Especially when I already read an advanced copy of one of the books — which I absolutely loved — so I was planning on buying it anyway.

The theme for October is Lost in the Bookstore. Owlcrate put together a box full of beautiful and useful goodies which are ideal for any avid reader.

I love socks (I have way too many of them) and this is such a cute design!

I love tea! I haven’t tried this yet but I’m going to do it soon. I hope it’s delicious! 😋

I usually use tea bags so I don’t have a strainer. It was great that Owlcrate included this. And with such a cute design too!

Owlcrate explained that this Mirror of Erised art print reflects every bookworm’s deepest desire — a stack of books and a letter to Hogwarts. Definitely true for me.

The cover had minor changes. The original had blue text but I honestly prefer this pink version. I also love the illustration inside (which you can see in the video 😉). Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books so I’m definitely looking forward to reading this.

I absolutely loved Shadow of the Fox! This is the biggest reason why I got this box. I wanted a signed edition and the shipping fee for a virtually signed book was expensive too so getting this box is more worth it. You can read my review of it here.

This is my favorite item in this box. It’s pretty and useful. I use a small book bag to carry the book I’m currently reading but this is more stylish! Haha. It doesn’t fit the hardcover I’m currently reading though. It works best with paperbacks or small hardcovers.

Well, that’s everything. I can say I’m really glad I got this and I’m satisfied with the items. I am skipping the November box but I am getting the December one. I hope I won’t be late in posting the unboxing next time. 😂
